The 3 steps before Starting your own Business

Starting your own business is such an exciting moment. On this post, I’ll be sharing with you the 3 things you need to do before starting your own business.

Create a budget to figure out how much you’ll be spending to start your business. The budget should include the investments you’ll have to make on products for your business, the place you’ll be selling your products (website, physical store, etc), other expenses you’ll have, and a certain amount that you will need to survive while your business doesn’t have profit.

2. Investing

Most people want to start a business without making investments, but that’s not how things work. Remember, you’re investing in your future, so it’s a good investment.

3. Knowledge

Before actually starting your business, gather all the knowledge you will need. Learn all about marketing strategies, money management, etc.

Be positive, and know that everything will work out! I wish you the best of luck with your new journey!

How to Get Good Grades

On today’s post, I’ll be sharing with you my main tips on how to get good grades. This post can help students, mothers whose kids are in school or adults that are thinking about furthering their education.

Here’s how you can get good grades.

1.Take Notes

When you’re in class, and your professor is explaining the matter, take as many notes as you can. This will help you retain more of what you heard in class, and it will help you study once you’re home.

2. Ask Questions

Don’t be afraid to ask for a better explanation about the topics you’re not fully understanding, your professor won’t mind, and it will help you get better grades.

3. Study Every Single Day

You need to keep your memory fresh and studying every day will help you understand everything better and not forget the little details. You’ll also feel more comfortable when it comes to exams or essays.

4. Plan Everything

Be on top of the exam days and make sure to write down what you need to study. This will help you to be more organised and more productive. Check these Planners that I’ve made, they were a life saver for me! Your grades will definitely improve with them.

5. Sleep

You need to have at least 8 hours of sleep per night. Your memory will be sharper, and you’ll be in a better mood to study!

I hope this was helpful and good luck with your studies!

Save Money on Grocery Shopping

Grocery shopping is something we all have to do, some people love others hate it but one thing everyone has in common is not wanting to spend a lot of money on it and if possible, save money! So, in today’s post, I’ll be sharing with you the most important tips I use to save money whenever I go grocery shopping.

1.Make a Budget

This is crucial. Knowing exactly how much you can spend on groceries will help you save so much money.

2. Make a Inventory

This might sound a bit crazy but trust me, it’s really helpful. Write down every single product you have. Make different lists: a food list (don’t forget to check the expiration date!), a hygiene list, a household list and a medicine list (again, check the dates).

3. Plan your Meals

Planning your meals will help you decrease the habit of buying unnecessary products. You’ll go to the shops knowing exactly what you need for your meals. I like to plan my meals weekly.

4. Make a Shopping List

Writing down everything you need will help you save money because you won’t buy what you don’t need.

5. Buy in Bolk and freeze

This is a great way to save money because you won’t be going to the shops frequently to buy fruit and veggies, that way, you won’t be tempted to buy things you actually don’t need. Also, this really good to make smoothies and soup!

All of these steps can be done with the help of a planner. Feel free to check these ones out: Money Planner (A5), Money Planner (A4), Personal Finance Planner (A4).

Saving Money on Holiday

Since we are close to Easter, and most people take days off during this time, I decided to share a few tips that will help you save money while you’re on holidays.

1.Rent an Airbnb

Instead of staying in a hotel, rent an Airbnb. This will help you save a lot of money, especially if you have a big family.

2. Cook your own Meals

Restaurants in places dedicated to tourism are extremely expensive. If you cook your meals, you’ll be able to save more money.

3. Free fun

Do a little bit of research before heading to your destination, try to figure out where all the free fun is. In some cities, museums are free once a month. Finding this type of free fun will help you save money and still have a good time.

4. Travel Light

If you’re renting an Airbnb, make sure to rent one with a washer, this way you’ll be able to travel light and save money on you’re plane tickets.

These are all the tips I have for you, let me know if you have more in the comments down below.

How to Cut Down Plastic

We all are aware of how bad the plastic is for the environment, but the reality is that we’re so used to have plastic products on our daily lives that it becomes difficult not to use them. So, what I want with this post is to give you a few tips on what you can change so we can all cut down the plastic usage.

1.Say “No” to plastic bags

Get fabric bags instead. I love this tip, you can have really cute bags when you go grocery shopping, mine have different sayings and cute patterns. I also have smaller ones for fruit and vegetables (and they all match haha). What I also love about this is that you can throw them into the washer and they’re brand new again.

2. Shampoo and Conditioner Bars

Quit buying shampoo and conditioners stored in plastic containers. You can buy or make your own! I find that my shampoo bars last a lot longer then the “normal” shampoo I used to get, it actually saves me money. I also noticed a huge difference in my hair, it’s a lot healthier and growing faster because it’s not getting harsh chemicals like it used to.

3. Household Detergents

Make your own household cleaners and store them in glass containers. This will help the environment, and it will also be beneficial for you health since they won’t have harsh chemicals.

4. Body Products

Make your own deodorant, toothpaste, body soap, body creams, etc and store them in plastic free containers.

Spring Break with Kids on a Budget

Making childhood memories with your kids is one of the most amazing parts of being a parent. Most parents want to enjoy their kids’ breaks from school to spend time with them and help them create new memories and special moments. Let’s face it, this can get a little expensive rather quickly. On today’s post, I’ll be sharing with you how you can have the best time with them, on a budget.

1.Travel within the Country

If you really want to go somewhere else and discover new cities or villages, then the cheapest option will be to travel within your country. I advise you to rent an Airbnb instead of a hotel because it will be less expensive. Also, make sure to do a little research on free activities that the city might have.

2. Games

Renting a place or going to some sort of park to play games with them would be really fun. You could do a bit of research on Pinterest about new games that your kids have never played before, and even prepare a bag of goodies for the winners. It would definitely be a fun memory for them.

3. Activities

Planning a week of activities within your city is also a really good idea. For example, one day it would be going to an Aquarium, other going to the Zoo, and maybe also going to a museum about the things that they’re passionate about. At the end of the week, each one them could have a basket with memories and cute things from the places you’ve been.

I hope you and your family have an amazing time together.

Benefits of waking up at 5 am

This was a goal of mine for 2019. I have to be honest, I don’t wake up at 5 am every single day, but for the majority of the week, I do. When I first started this, I noticed it took me a while to get my body used to it. Since I started this new routine in the Winter, the sun would only raise at around 7:15 am, so it was hard for me to be 100% alert. Once I got used to it, I realized the impact it had on me, and I promise you, it is worth it to wake up at 5 am.

Here are the benefits of waking up at 5 am.

Due to waking up so early, I noticed my productivity levels increased. You have more hours to achieve whatever you had planned for the day, and since you get up early, you have the time to do more things.

2. ”Me time”

One of my favourite things is getting more of “me time”. I get to spend time reading, catching up on episodes of TV Series or writing down my thoughts while drinking my cup of coffee… it’s such a peaceful moment!

3. Improves your self-esteem

Since I started this, I honestly feel like I’m ready to take over the world! I have time to finish everything I set for that day, it makes me feel accomplished.

4. You’ll feel less stressed

I’m less stressed about everything. This happens because I’m aware that I have the time to take care of myself and do well at my job. I’m no longer rushing everything.

These were the main benefits I’ve noticed since starting this new habit. I hope this post inspires you to try a new routine.

Frugal living tips that will help you save money

Frugal living is trying to live a life with less but always with a positive attitude towards everything. Frugal living isn’t a “sacrifice”, is just a lifestyle.

This is great for families living off just one income and for people that want to save more money. This lifestyle will definitely help you save more. It could be taken to the extreme but, in my opinion, the middle grown is what makes more sense to me. Keep in mind this topic is fairly new to my life, so on this post, I’ll be sharing frugal living tips that I apply to my daily life.

1.Make things yourself

Making your own bread, pasta, biscuits, and desserts will make you save so much money. If you find healthier recipes and cut down the sugar and salt, your overall health will improve.

2. Purchase second-hand

Buying clothes, furniture, accessories and decor items on thrift stores and second-hand shops will definitely help you save money.

3. DIY household cleaning products

Cleaning products are usually quite expensive, so making them yourself will help you save more money in the long run. There are so many recipes on Pinterest and they are so easy to make. I have a board on Pinterest dedicated to this, click here for some inspiration. Another plus about this is that you won’t have harsh chemicals on these products, it will be good for you and for the environment.

4. Meal Plan

This is a really good way to save money. When grocery shopping, you won’t be buying things you don’t need and you’ll be able to estimate the price per meal, helping you have a more accurate budget. On this post, you have a free meal planner to download.

5. Have reusable bags

I always have fabric bags with me whenever I go grocery shopping. Where I live, the plastic bags aren’t free so, this helps me save money and helps the environment (a lot!).

So, these are the tips I have for you. Let me know in the comments if you have other habits that help you save money.

4 Ways to save money when you move out for the first time

Moving out for the first time is a big achievement and a very exciting moment. We need to be prepared for this new amazing stage in our lives. We’ll have to make a lot of investments and today, I’ll be sharing with you a few tips that will help you save money on those investments.

1.Get used furniture

Try to bring some of your bedroom’s furniture with you, for example, your bed or your desk. You could also try to find out if some of your family members could give you their old sofa, for example. Buying used furniture and upgrade it is also a really good alternative.

2. Throw a “Moving Shower”

I know, sounds weird, but make this a fun moment with your family and friends. It will be a celebration of your achievement where the guests can give you cute house-warming gifts.

3. Move things yourself

Instead of hiring a company to help you move (they’re really expensive!), do it yourself. Ask your friends and family to help you with it.

4. Buy on sale

This sounds obvious, but sometimes when we’re shopping for things for our new place, we tend to only pay attention to the looks of the product. Always try to choose something on sale, obviously make sure to buy what you like haha. This tip will make a huge difference at the end.

Let me know if you have more tips! Thank you so much for reading it, and I’ll see you in my next post.

6 Products to make and sell online

I had previously written a post about simple ways to make money. A few of the ideas that I shared on that post were about selling things you already had, but what if, instead, you try to make a few things yourself and sell them?

I’m going to give you ideas of things you can do in your free time and make extra money. Remember, this could start off as a hobby or a side hustle and become an actual business!

If you’re good at taking photos, you should try to sell them online.

2. Printables

I love this one. You can use Canva to make them and sell them on your blog or Etsy.

3. Ebooks

If you love writing and you’re good at them, then you should consider making an ebook and sell it online. You can promote it on a blog and on Pinterest.

4. T-shirts

You can design and sell T-shirts online and promote them on social media.

5. Coffee Mugs

This is something I love buying! You can design them and sell them on Etsy, I see plenty of these on Pinterest.

6. Candles

Make unique candles. They’re super simple to make, and they’re adorable.

There are many more things you can add to the list, but I wanted to give a few ideas of digital and physical products. These are things you can learn how to make for free with Youtube videos or blog posts, the perks of the internet!

Let me know in the comments if you have more ideas and good luck with your projects!
