Weird Ways to Save Money

I’m always looking for ways to save money, and today I thought it would be nice to share with you some weird ways to save money.

1.Unsubscribe to Publicity Mails and Emails

This will prevent from seeing the new discounts and sales from stores, and they’re new products. You won’t be tempted to buy things you don’t need.

2.Pay in Cash

Paying things in cash will make you realise the actual amount you’re spending on a daily. You’ll think twice before buying things you don’t need. You won’t overspend.

3.Shop Online

This is great for groceries, you’ll get only what you need and won’t be brainwashed and tempted to buy all the bargains in the store.

4.Eat Before Grocery Shopping

This is a really good idea. It’ll prevent you from buying snacks! I used to do this all the time: I’d go before lunch and would end up bringing a lot of snacks instead of what I actually needed.

5.Quit Bad Habits

Smoking and drinking are really bad for your health, but not only that, but you’re also spending thousands on it every year.

I really hope this post was useful, let me know if you have more weird ways to save money!

Thank you so much for reading it, and I’ll see you in my next post.

Habits to Become More Productive

I think most of us struggle with productivity. I love planning my day, but I have to be extremely disciplined with myself in order to get things done. So, I thought it would be nice to share the habits that I use to become more productive with you.

1.Wake Up Early

Starting off your day early will help you get more things done. You’ll also feel more productive and in the mood to get things done. I love the feeling of achieving some goals of the day and then look at the clock and be amazed that I was able to get so many things done so early in the day.

2.Plan Your Day

Plan your day and make sure to write down the things you must get done and the things you’d like to tackle but aren’t a must. Prioritize your tasks and be realistic, don’t add too many things to your day, that will just make you frustrated.

3.Work Smarter and Not Harder

Make sure to do the things you know will help you get to the finish line and achieve your goals. Working hard all day and not reach your goals or not achieve something that will be worth for your future will be just a waste of time. Prioritize your work and start working smarter instead of harder.

4.Be Disciplined

You have to be disciplined with yourself, stop procrastinating. Be hard with yourself and make a priority achieving the tasks you set out for the day.

I hope this post was useful, productivity is something we’ll work on throughout the years, so don’t be too hard on yourself and always be proud of your achievements.

Summer Holiday on a Budget

I don’t know about you, but I always look forward to the holidays! I get to spend quality time with the people I love and just relax. It’s so good for our mental health, I love it. The only thing down about it is how expensive it can get. So, in this post, I’ll be sharing with you some tips that will help you save money on your holidays.

1.Buy The Plane Ticket in Advance

Buying the plane ticket in months advance will make your trip less expensive.

2.Book in Advance

The activities that aren’t free and you really want to take part in, should be booked in advance. It will save you money and time.

3.Use Public Transportation

Instead of taxis or ubers, use public transportation, this will be a lot cheaper and a lot more fun because you’ll get to see more things and find better places.

4.Rent an Airbnb

Instead of staying in a hotel, rent an Airbnb. This will help you save a lot of money, especially if you have a big family.

5.Cook your Own Meals

Restaurants in places dedicated to tourism are extremely expensive. If you cook your meals, you’ll be able to save more money.

6.Free Fun

Do a little bit of research before heading to your destination, try to figure out where all the free fun is. In some cities, museums are free once a month. Finding this type of free fun will help you save money and still have a good time.

If you’re renting an Airbnb, make sure to rent one with a washer, this way you’ll be able to travel light and save money on you’re plane tickets.

5 Money Habits You Need to Have

For us to change and improve our finances, we need to develop some habits. These habits will help us stay on track and live a more comfortable life. It took me a while to get all of them and make them part of my daily life. Once I was able to get these habits to stick, my life changed.

1.Have a Budget

You need to know where your money is going! This is the only way you’ll be able to get control of your finances. It will help you to pay off debt and to grow your savings.

2.Make Goals

You need something to work towards. It will keep you motivated to keep hustling, and it will give a reason to manage your money wisely.

3.Have Side Hustles

Make sure to have different sources of income. Regardless of the amount, having this habit will always benefit you. Side hustles can turn into businesses.

4.Live Below your Means

This is so crucial. You don’t have to live miserably. You just have to make sure you don’t buy things you can’t afford nor have a lifestyle you can’t afford.

These are the tips I have for you, today! Thank you so much for reading it, and I’ll see you in my next post.

Zero Waste: Self-Care

Previously I made a post about self-care investments that will help you save money in the long-term, click here if you are interested in reading that post. On today’s post, I want to share with you self-care products that can be made at home. These products have fewer chemicals and less plastic. Living a frugal life doesn’t just help us save money, but it also benefits our health and our planet’s health.

1.Shampoo/Conditioner Bars

There are several recipes online for these bars, they are quite easy to make, and I love what they do to my hair!

There are so many recipes online with really natural ingredients for you to make at home. It’s also a really good activity to do with kids and teach them a bit about a plastic-free life!

I’ve seen plenty of recipes online and even tried one. Absolutely loved it, it made my skin super smooth. Definitely try this at home.

4.Toothbrush and Toothpaste

I 100% advise you to get a bamboo toothbrush, they work just as well as the plastic ones but are way better for the environment. You can make toothpaste at home, I tried one recipe that had coconut oil, and I wasn’t a big fan of it! I’m still on the hunt for a more natural toothpaste with a pleasant taste.

To be honest, I’ve never tried to make deodorant at home, but I have bought natural, free of chemicals deodorants, and let me tell you, they are great! You don’t get stinky throughout the day, and it makes your skin super hydrated. I definitely want to try to make one at home, it will be a lot cheaper.

These are all the tips I have for you today! Thank you so much for reading it, and I’ll see you in my next post.

Save Money on Your Self-Care

Self-care should be seen as a necessity. It really is a need, it does well to our body and mind.

On this post, I’m going to focus on the physical self-care and in the future, I’ll make a post about self-care investments for our mental health.

These are things I realized I was spending a lot of money on and to be quite honest with you, I’m not willing to give up on my self-care habits because they do make me feel more confident and more happy with myself. Instead, I decided to make a few changes in order to save money in the long-term.

1.Nail Kit

I absolutely love having my nails done, but I realized I was spending 120 dollars every month on them… that’s 1,440 dollars at the end of a year! So, I decided to buy a nail kit and start getting them done myself. The whole kit (with the UV light and all of those products) was 200$. I’ll be honest, it took me a few tries and a lot of Youtube videos to get them perfect, but it’s definitely worth it!

2.At Home Hair Treatment

My hair is super wavy and, personally, I think I look better with straight hair. So, twice a year I used to permanently straighten my hair at a salon. It is an expensive treatment so I thought I should try an “at home straightening treatment”.

The Cons are:

-It’s a two people job. I definitely couldn’t do it by myself, fortunately, my mum was able to help me with it;

-It doesn’t last as long as the professional one does;

-The application is a bit messy.

The Pros are:

-It feels like the chemicals are less strong (there are a few in the market that are natural and don’t have chemicals, but I’ve never tried them so I don’t know if they actually work.)

-They aren’t expensive;

-You can do them at the comfort of your own home;

-My mum and I definitely had a fun time whilst doing it.

Overall, it is a good investment, it makes you save money, and that is always a plus.

3.At Home Gym

This is one of my favourites. I really dislike going to the gym, I’m never 100% comfortable but, at the same time, I love working out. Also, my gym membership was quite expensive. I know I’m not the only one feeling this way about the gym, so I started to follow some Youtube workout videos. Then I bought weights, and I will buy more equipment. I already had a threat-mile at home, so that helped me a lot. I definitely recommend this tip.

4.Permanent Hair Removal

This was definitely something I had been thinking about getting for a while. I decided to invest in an IPL device. There are several prince ranges out there which is a really good thing, I don’t remember the exact price of mine, but I know it wasn’t more than 200 dollars. This really works, it takes a lot of treatments to make the hairs completely disappear but it so worth it. Unfortunately, the biggest con about this device is that it doesn’t work on every skin colour or hair colour, you’ll have to do a little research to figure out if it’s something you’ll want to get.

5.Teeth Whitening Kit

I’ve always been a bit sceptical about these, I always thought that only the whitening treatments at the dentist would work, until I tried them myself. I got mine at a pharmacy, so it was a little expensive but definitely less than going to the dentist doing the procedure. I recommend trying but just make sure to do a little research before you buy one, be sure that what you’re getting isn’t extremely aggressive to your teeth.

I hope these tips were useful and let me know which ones you’d like to try or already have tried.

Thank you for reading it, and I’ll see you in my next post.

How to Increase Your Savings

I’m very passionate about saving for the things I want instead of getting myself into debt. On this post, I’ll be sharing some tips to increase your savings!

Having extra money will always help you increase your savings, regardless of the amount. Remember that even small quantities add are good, they’ll add up.

3.Control your Expenses

Make sure to buy only what’s necessary and stay within your budget.

4.Challenge Yourself

Challenge yourself to save more money. Have no spend challenges each month. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but it’s a good way to encourage you and to stop you from buying things you don’t necessarily need.

Time Management Tips

This post will help you manage your time, in order to be more productive and succeed at your job. There’s also a printable that will help you schedule your day.

Here are the steps to budget your time and still be productive.

1.Set Goals

Write down all of your goals for the day. Be realistic, don’t add too many things that you’ll know you won’t be able to achieve. That will only make you feel stressed and frustrated.

How to Work from Home and be Productive

I recently started this blog and soon realized this is what I want to do for a living. I’ve never been this happy, I finally found “my purpose”. I take this blog as serious as a job, so I work really hard on it, I’m sure this will be the way that will lead me to success.

If you are a blogger or work from home and want some inspiration to be productive, then this is the post for you. There’s also a weekly planner printable to help you organize your days, to get it, click here.

1.Wake Up Early

I like waking up early, and take my time getting ready, that way I’m not in a rush meaning I’ll be really calm and relaxed once I start working. It’s also a habit that makes me feel more productive because I have more time available to do everything I set myself to do that day.

2.Do some sort of Activity

I usually stretch and do a little bit of yoga and, sometimes I even do a small workout. This makes me feel very alert and ready to tackle my day. Keep in mind, running after your children to get them ready counts as a workout haha.

3.Set Goals for the Day

This step will make you feel pressured (in a positive way) to accomplish everything you set yourself to achieve for the day. Make a realistic list, or you’ll be frustrated. I like to see it in a weekly planner, like that it’s easier for me to plan according to what I did the previous day. Also, at the end of the week, you will feel like you were super productive, that will boost your confidence, and it will make you improve on your work every day.

4.Plan Out your Meal

At the end of every day, I like to make a small list with ideas for meals for the following day. This saves me a lot of time meaning I get to get more things done.

5.Have Fun

Now that you spend your day being extremely productive, you deserve to have fun and relax. Be with your family and friends, watch a few episodes of your favourite series, just enjoy your time. Don’t forget to be proud of your achievements, you might not have the results right away, but you will have them!

Thank you so much for reading it, and let me know if you have more tips to be productive! I will see you in my next post.
