Become an Organised Person

I’m a super organised person. I love to plan and have everything set and done the way I like haha! I know I exaggerate a bit, but I thought that if I share some of my tips, I’ll be able to help someone be more organised.

1.Organise your Space

I usually start by organising the kitchen and then the rest of the rooms. This will help you to get in the mood of an organised person. Make sure to de-clutter everything and organise things.

2.Organise your Finances

Take control of your money. Start by writing down all of your expenses and bills, etc. Make a budget that suits your needs. In this area, being organised will help you save money.

3.Organise your Mind

If you want to have an organised life you need to organise your mind first. Start writing down your thoughts, acknowledge your emotions. Make this a daily habit, trust me, it will make a huge difference.

4.Plan Everything

Get in the habit of writing down your plans for the day or for the month. This will help you improve or time management and organisation skills! If you’ve been following me for a while then you know I have a brand new planners shop. You’ll be able to find plenty of planners to download that will help you organise your day. I’ll leave the link of the shop if you’re interested.

Benefits of waking up at 5 am

This was a goal of mine for 2019. I have to be honest, I don’t wake up at 5 am every single day, but for the majority of the week, I do. When I first started this, I noticed it took me a while to get my body used to it. Since I started this new routine in the Winter, the sun would only raise at around 7:15 am, so it was hard for me to be 100% alert. Once I got used to it, I realized the impact it had on me, and I promise you, it is worth it to wake up at 5 am.

Here are the benefits of waking up at 5 am.

1.Productivity

Due to waking up so early, I noticed my productivity levels increased. You have more hours to achieve whatever you had planned for the day, and since you get up early, you have the time to do more things.

2. ”Me time”

One of my favourite things is getting more of “me time”. I get to spend time reading, catching up on episodes of TV Series or writing down my thoughts while drinking my cup of coffee… it’s such a peaceful moment!

3. Improves your self-esteem

Since I started this, I honestly feel like I’m ready to take over the world! I have time to finish everything I set for that day, it makes me feel accomplished.

4. You’ll feel less stressed

I’m less stressed about everything. This happens because I’m aware that I have the time to take care of myself and do well at my job. I’m no longer rushing everything.

These were the main benefits I’ve noticed since starting this new habit. I hope this post inspires you to try a new routine.

Thank you for reading it, and I’ll see you in my next post.

How to keep productivity going

I used to struggle with staying productive throughout the day. I made a few changes that really changed my productivity levels. So, I’ll share them with you.

1.Make a list

This will help you structure your day. You’ll know what are the things you need to get done and writing them down makes a huge difference. Don’t forget to tick them out as you achieve them, it will give you a good feeling of accomplishment.

2. Have snacks with you

Having snacks and water with you will make you a lot more productive throughout the day because you won’t be feeling the need to get up often to eat. It won’t break your logic during work.

3. Start with what you dislike

As much as you may love your job, there are always a few bits that aren’t as enjoyable as we’d like. So, I advise you to start with those “chores”. This will make you want to finish them faster so you can start what you actually like, doing so, your productivity levels will stay balanced.

4. Have a clean environment

Clean and tidy your workspace. Sometimes, when we are working in a messy and clutter space, our productivity and motivation simply vanish. Having a clean and aesthetic pleasing working area makes our productivity rise.

5. Sleep 8 hours per night

Sleeping the right amount of hours per night improves the way we think, our memory and, of course, our productivity. This is crucial for us to do well at our jobs.

6. Mindset

This is probably the most important tip. You need to have the right mindset. Having a positive attitude towards your day, work and goals will definitely make you better at it. Your productivity and your happiness will completely change!

Let me know if these tips helped you. Thank you for reading it and, I’ll see you in my next post.

How to work from home and be Productive

I recently started this blog and soon realized this is what I want to do for a living. I’ve never been this happy, I finally found “my purpose”. I take this blog as serious as a job, so I work really hard on it, I’m sure this will be the way that will lead me to success.

If you are a blogger or work from home and want some inspiration to be productive, then this is the post for you. There’s also a free weekly planner printable to help you organize your days, to download it click here.

This is the weekly planner you’ll get.

1.Wake up early

I like waking up early and take my time getting ready, that way I’m not in a rush meaning I’ll be really calm and relaxed once I start working. It’s also a habit that makes me feel more productive because I have more time available to do everything I set myself to do that day.

2. Do some sort of activity

I usually stretch and do a little bit of yoga and, sometimes I even do a small workout. This makes me feel very alert and ready to tackle my day. Keep in mind, running after your children to get them ready counts as a workout haha.

3. Set the goals for the day

This step will make you feel pressured (in a positive way) to accomplish everything you set yourself to achieve for the day. Make a realistic list, or you’ll be frustrated. I like to see it in a weekly planner, like that it’s easier for me to plan according to what I did the previous day. Also, at the end of the week, you will feel like you were super productive, that will boost your confidence and it will make you improve on your work every day.

4. Plan out your meals

At the end of every day, I like to make a small list with ideas for meals for the following day. This saves me a lot of time meaning I get to get more things done.

5. Have fun

Now that you spend your day being extremely productive, you deserve to have fun and relax. Be with your family and friends, watch a few episodes of your favourite series, just enjoy your time. Don’t forget to be proud of your achievements, you might not have the results right away, but you will have them!

Thank you so much for reading it and let me know if you have more tips to be productive, hopefully, the weekly planner helped you! I will see you in my next post.

Different types of savings everyone should have!

In all of my budgeting posts, I mention frequently the importance of turning a big portion of your income into savings. This is a habit we should all have because if we hustle and plan ahead when we are young, our future will be more peacefully and we will be able to enjoy every moment with the people we love.

If you’d like to learn how to budget your income then you should read the posts I’ve written about it: How to budget your income, Beginners guide to the “Cash Envelope” system and the Beginners Guide to the “50/30/20” method.

These are the types of savings we should all have.

1.Emergency Fund

This an extremely important saving you should have. It will help you “survive” in a crisis. If, for some reason, you are left without a job or can’t work because of an illness or you might need to assist a family member, then having this money will make things less stressful.

It should be 6 months to a year worth of bills and debt payments, as well as groceries and other needs.

2. Investment

Having money on the side for future investments that will make you more money, is actually a really good strategy for the future. For example, it could be money to invest in a property so you can rent it and make it a source of passive income. It should be something to start thinking once all of the more urgent savings accounts are more secure.

3. Long-term Savings

This type of savings is meant for something that you know you are going to want or need in the next 10 years. It could be, for example, a house, certain debts covered, university funds for your children, etc.

4. Short-term Savings

If you’re planning, in the next 5 years, upgrading to a new or bigger car/house or for example you want to renovate your space, or even a holiday this is exactly the type of savings account you’ll need.

5. Retirement

This is probably the most important one because we know this is inevitable, we are going to retire someday and we’ll need a fund to live off. Since it’s something more down the road it means we have more time to save but it also means that we have an opportunity to save more and make our retirement less stressing and more enjoyable.

So these are the several account savings we should have. I know not everyone has an income that can cover all of this, but what I want to transmit to you is that even a small amount of money towards them, will have a really positive impact on your future.

Beginners Guide to the “50/30/20” System

There are several budgeting techniques and it makes the process of choosing which one works best for us a bit overwhelming. So, my goal is to explain the several existing methods, in order to make your decision slightly easier.

I also have a Beginners guide to the “cash envelope” system, if you want to learn a bit more about it.

The 50/30/20 categories

50%- corresponds to every need you have throughout the month. These needs might be rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, car payments, etc.

30%- corresponds to your wants. For example clothes, memberships, subscriptions, dining out, etc.

20%- corresponds to your savings.

How to budget according to this system?

1.Figure out the exact amount you can work with

I always start with this step in all my budgeting posts but trust me, this is crucial in for you to succeed at it. You need to know the amount that is left after deducting your taxes, social security, etc.

2.Calculate the amount for each category

Income (step1) * 0,5= Needs

Income (step1) * 0,3= Wants

Income (step1) * 0,2= Savings

These will be the exact amounts you’ll be able to spend on each category.

Tip: try to stay under budget in the needs and wants categories, that way, you will be able to add more to your savings. Enabling you to create future investments, savings account, an emergency fund or even pay off any debt quicker.

Feel free to adjust the percentages if you think that will benefit you. Overall, it’s a really good method to start a budgeting journey and increase your savings.

Beginners Guide to the “Cash Envelope” System

The “cash envelope” method is a great way to save money, to pay off debt and even to build your retirement account. It’s actually an easy way of achieving some of your goals, you get to save for that dream holiday, for the house of your dreams, for the huge wedding you’ve always dreamt of or even to plan the move for the country you’ve always wanted to live in.

So, here’s how this method works:

1.Figure out what you can work with.

Start with your tax and expenses free income. Know exactly the amount you’ll be able to take out of your bank to use it on the envelopes. Keep in mind, some things are paid with your debit card, just make sure to incorporate them on your budget.

If you need help making your budget, you can read this post that I wrote on How to budget your income.

2. The categories

This step may be different from mine. I’ll give a few examples with my categories, but you should adjust them to your life. Mine are: Groceries, needs, knowledge investment and fun money.

3. Choose the envelopes

Try to get envelopes with different colours, this will help you memorize which envelopes correspond to which categories and also because they’re cuter! I use paper envelopes but there are other envelope systems, for example, the Dave Ramsey’s.

4. Fill your envelopes

Now that you know your budget and you have the categories on your envelopes, you can start filling them with the specific amount that you designated for each.

Don’t forget to leave the money meant for the things you’ll pay with the debit card in the bank.

5. What’s next?

Well, now you go shopping and only spend what’s in the envelopes. Some people like to just have their envelops when they’re going shopping. To be quite honest, it’s something that bothers me, so when I go shopping I take the amount from the specific category and put it in my purse.

6. At the end of the month

Whatever is left on the envelopes and on my bank account that I didn’t use that month, I put it into savings. That was key to sky-rocket my savings account.

I really hope you try this method. Thank you for reading it. I will see you in my next post.
